eSIM Compatibility & Network Unlock CheckerUpdated 6 days ago

Our eSIMs will only work on unlocked eSIM-compatible devices! 📲 🔓

What Is An Unlocked Device?
⇢
If your device is unlocked, it can connect to any carrier's network.

For example, if you bought your phone from Telstra, Optus, or AT&T, it's highly likely that it is locked, and our eSIMs will not work in it.

If you bought your device outright from retailers like Best Buy, JB Hi-Fi or Harvey Norman, it's most likely unlocked.

If you're unsure, the best way to find out is to call your network provider and ask! They'll be able to unlock it for you, too, this might incur a fee!

How to Check if Your Device Supports eSIM

Before you buy or install your eSIM, make sure your phone is eSIM compatible and unlocked (not tied to your home carrier).

Here’s how to check in just a few minutes

1. Check using your keypad

📞 Dial *#06# on your phone. (asterisk – hash – zero – six – hash)
A screen will appear showing codes like EID, IMEI, and IMEI2.

💡 If you can see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM!
If there’s no EID, the device likely doesn’t have eSIM capability.

2. Check in your phone settings

🍏 On iPhone:
Go to Settings → General → About
Scroll down to see ICCID and EID details.
You can also go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM
if that option appears, your phone is eSIM compatible.

🤖 On Android:
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs
If you see “Add eSIM” or “Download a SIM instead?”, your device supports eSIM.

3. Make sure your phone is unlocked

🍏 On iPhone:
Go to Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock

  • No SIM restrictions” = your phone is unlocked

  • Anything else = locked to a carrier

🤖 On Android:
Go to Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network operators → Search networks

If you can find multiple carriers, your phone is likely unlocked.
Or, simply test it with a SIM from another provider.

 Why this matters

If your device is locked, it won’t accept eSIMs from other providers.
Make sure it’s unlocked and up to date before purchasing your eSIM.
