Fix common iOS issues on iPhone (iOS 26) - Data Roaming, Mobile Data Switching OFFUpdated 24 days ago
If your Simify eSIM isn’t getting data on your iPhone (iOS 26), it’s usually caused by one of these two settings:
Data Roaming is OFF
Mobile Data Switching is ON
Here’s how to fix both in seconds. 👇
✅ 1. Turn ON Data Roaming (required for all eSIMs)
Even if you’re already in a covered country, your eSIM won’t connect unless Data Roaming is ON.
How to enable it:
Open Settings
Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular)
Select your Simify eSIM
Turn Data Roaming → ON
⭐ Tip: Data Roaming does not cause extra charges with eSIMs - it’s safe and required.
⚠️ Important: Turn OFF Data Roaming on your home SIM
To avoid unexpected roaming charges from your home mobile provider, make sure Data Roaming is OFF for your personal SIM/eSIM.
Only your Simify eSIM should have Data Roaming ON.
iPhone:
Settings → Mobile Data → Select your home SIM → Data Roaming OFF
This ensures your phone uses only your Simify eSIM for roaming data, and you stay fully protected from surprise fees.
✅ 2. Turn OFF Mobile Data Switching
If Mobile Data Switching is ON, your iPhone may keep using your primary SIM instead of your eSIM, causing:
No data
Slow speeds
“No network” messages
Activation delays
How to turn it OFF:
Go to Settings
Tap Mobile Data
Tap Mobile Data Switching
Turn Allow Switching → OFF
This ensures your iPhone uses the eSIM correctly for data.
🔧 Optional: Make sure your eSIM is set as the active data line
Go to Settings
Tap Mobile Data
Under Mobile Data, select your Simify eSIM
This tells your iPhone which SIM to use for internet.
✨ After updating the settings
Toggle Airplane Mode ON → OFF to refresh the connection.
Your eSIM should now connect to a local partner network and start working normally.
